Information we collect from you

We and the Client Service Provider will collect and process the following data about you:

  1. Information you give us. This is information about you that you give us by filling in forms on our site our site or by corresponding with us by phone, email or otherwise. It includes information you provide when you register to use our site, subscribe to our services, participate in the marketplace or other social media functions on our site. When a visitor requests any web page from our site, our servers automatically obtain that visitor’s domain name and IP address.     • to a credit reference agency to check your identity and to prevent fraud (they will also keep a record of your request and use it whenever anyone applies to be authenticated in your name);
    • to our agents and subcontractors, acting for us or for issuers, to use for the purpose of operating our service and obtaining payment;
    • to investigate, prevent or detect fraud or carry out checks against money laundering;
    • to share information via an organisation which provides a centralised application matching service which it collects from and about mortgage and/or credit applications;

    • if we have to by law, the law allows it, or it is in the public interest;
    • if all of the assets which we use to operate our service (or substantially all of them) are acquired by a third party, we may transfer personal data we then hold to that party so that the acquirer can continue to operate the service.

  5. We do not disclose your personal information to any issuer of securities which are offered on our website “Debentures”) unless it is necessary for the operation of the services or the administration of any Debentures ( as detailed in our Terms & Conditions).

You agree that, in the course of generating and operating our services in relation to our marketplace facility for buying and selling Debentures we will need to send to offering parties or counterparties (as detailed in our Terms & Conditions), as the case may be, certain transactional data. We will not be liable for any use or misuse of the transactional data by others, but you must inform us of any misuse of the service of which you are aware.

Information we receive from other sources. We will combine this information with information you give to us and information we collect about you. We will use this information and the combined information for the purposes set out above (depending on the types of information we receive).

We may share your information with:

  1. any member of our group, which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in section 1159 of the UK Companies Act 2006.
  2. business partners, suppliers and sub-contractors for the performance of any contract we enter into with you;
